- 1 cup Water
- 1/4 cup Unsalted Butter
- 1 tbsp Granulated Sugar
- 1/4 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- Vegetable Oil (For Frying)
- 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 tsp Ground Cinnamon
Instructions
- In a large pot, combine the water, butter, sugar, vanilla, salt. Heat over medium heat until the butter has melted and the mixture comes to a boil.
- Remove from heat and add the flour, stirring continuously until a smooth dough forms.
- Let cool 10 minutes.
- Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a star-shaped nozzle.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot until it reaches 365°F.
- Pipe the dough into the hot oil, cutting it into 4-inch lengths with scissors.
- Fry until golden brown, turning occasionally with a wooden spoon.
