Ingredients
- 1 cup Black Lentils
- 1/2 cup Kidney Beans
- 3 tbsp Butter
- 1 tbsp Oil
- 1 Onion Finely Chopped
- 1 tbsp Ginger Paste
- 1 tbsp Garlic Paste
- 2 Green Chilies Finely Chopped
- 1/2 tsp Cumin Powder
- 1/2 tsp Coriander Powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
- 1/2 tsp Red Chilli Powder
- Salt To Taste
- 1/2 cup Tomato Puree
- 1/2 cup Cream
- 2 tbsp Fresh Cilantro Leaves Chopped
Instructions
- Soak the black lentils and kidney beans in water overnight. Drain the water and rinse the lentils and beans.
- Pressure cook the lentils and beans with 4 cups of water for 15-20 minutes until they are soft.
- In a large pan, heat the butter and oil. Add the chopped onion and sauté until it turns golden brown.
- Add ginger paste, garlic paste, and chopped green chilies. Sauté for a minute.
- Add cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, red chili powder, and salt to taste. Mix well and sauté for a minute.
- Add the tomato puree and mix well. Cook for 5 minutes.
- Add the cooked lentils and beans to the pan and mix well.
- Add cream and mix well. Cook for 10-15 minutes until the curry thickens.
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or naan.
