  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the milk powder, all-purpose flour, and baking powder.
  • Add the melted ghee or unsalted butter to the bowl and mix well.
  • Gradually add the milk to the bowl and mix until a soft and sticky dough is formed.
  • Divide the dough into 12-15 equal parts and roll each part into a smooth ball.
  • In a deep fryer or heavy-bottomed pot, heat the oil over medium-high heat.
  • Once the oil is hot, add the dough balls to the oil and fry until they are golden brown on all sides.
  • Using a slotted spoon, remove the Gulab Jamun from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
  • In a separate pot, combine the sugar, water, and ground cardamom to make the syrup.
  • Heat the pot over medium-high heat until the sugar dissolves and the syrup thickens.
  • Add the fried Gulab Jamun to the syrup and let them soak for at least 30 minutes.
  • Garnish with sliced pistachios or almonds and serve.
