Instructions
In a large mixing bowl, combine the milk powder, all-purpose flour, and baking powder.
Add the melted ghee or unsalted butter to the bowl and mix well.
Gradually add the milk to the bowl and mix until a soft and sticky dough is formed.
Divide the dough into 12-15 equal parts and roll each part into a smooth ball.
In a deep fryer or heavy-bottomed pot, heat the oil over medium-high heat.
Once the oil is hot, add the dough balls to the oil and fry until they are golden brown on all sides.
Using a slotted spoon, remove the Gulab Jamun from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
In a separate pot, combine the sugar, water, and ground cardamom to make the syrup.
Heat the pot over medium-high heat until the sugar dissolves and the syrup thickens.
Add the fried Gulab Jamun to the syrup and let them soak for at least 30 minutes.
Garnish with sliced pistachios or almonds and serve.
