Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F.
In a food processor, pulse the black beans and chickpeas until coarsely chopped.
Add the onion, red pepper, oats, cilantro, garlic, egg, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper, and pulse until well combined.
Form the mixture into 4 patties and place them on a baking sheet.
Bake the patties in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until lightly browned and firm.
Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
Grill or cook the patties on the grill or skillet for 2-3 minutes per side, or until heated through and slightly crispy.
Serve the burgers on whole wheat buns with your desired toppings.
