Ingredients
- 1 can Black Beans (15 Oz) Drained And Rinsed
- 1 can Chickpeas (15 Oz) Drained And Rinsed
- 1 Red Onion Chopped
- 1 Red Bell Pepper Chopped
- 1/2 cup Rolled Oats
- 1/4 cup Fresh Cilantro Chopped
- 2 Garlic Cloves Minced
- 1 tsp Ground Cumin
- 1 tsp Paprika
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Black Pepper
- 4 Whole Wheat Hamburger Buns
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- In a food processor, pulse the black beans and chickpeas until coarsely chopped.
- Add the onion, red pepper, oats, cilantro, garlic, egg, cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper, and pulse until well combined.
- Form the mixture into 4 patties and place them on a baking sheet.
- Bake the patties in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until lightly browned and firm.
- Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Grill or cook the patties on the grill or skillet for 2-3 minutes per side, or until heated through and slightly crispy.
- Serve the burgers on whole wheat buns with your desired toppings.
