- Square Baking Dish 8-Inch
- Saucepan Large
Ingredients
- 4 cups Stale Bread Torn Into Small Pieces
- 2 cups Milk
- 2 Large Eggs
- 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp Ground Nutmeg
- 1/4 cup Raisins
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Grease an 8-inch square baking dish with butter.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the milk, eggs, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, ground cinnamon, and ground nutmeg.
- Place the stale bread in the prepared baking dish.
- Sprinkle the raisins over the top of the bread.
- Pour the milk mixture over the bread, making sure to coat all of the pieces.
- Let the bread pudding sit for 10-15 minutes to allow the bread to soak up the milk mixture.
- Bake the bread pudding for 45 minutes, or until it's golden brown on top and set in the middle.
- Remove the bread pudding from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
