Ingredients
- 1.1 lb Chicken Breasts Cut Into Pieces
- 2 cup Basmati Rice
- 1 cup Mixed Vegetables (Carrots, Peas, Beans)
- 2 cup Water
- 2 tbsp Oil
- 1 Onion Thinly Sliced
- 1 tbsp Ginger Paste
- 1 tbsp Garlic Paste
- 2 Green Chilies Finely Chopped
- 1/2 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1/2 tsp Coriander Powder
- 1/2 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1/2 tsp Garam Masala
- Salt To Taste
- 2 tbsp Fresh Cilantro Leaves Chopped
Instructions
- Rinse the basmati rice in cold water and soak for 30 minutes.
- In a large pot, heat the oil. Add the sliced onions and sauté until they turn golden brown.
- Add ginger paste, garlic paste, and chopped green chilies. Sauté for a minute.
- Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, and salt to taste. Mix well and sauté for a minute.
- Add mixed vegetables and chicken pieces. Mix well and cook for 5-7 minutes until the chicken is partially cooked.
- Add soaked rice and mix well. Add 2 cups of water and mix well.
- Cover the pot with a lid and cook on low flame for 30 minutes.
- Once the rice is cooked, garnish with chopped cilantro leaves and serve hot.
