  • Soak the black lentils and kidney beans in water overnight. Drain the water and rinse the lentils and beans.
  • Pressure cook the lentils and beans with 4 cups of water for 15-20 minutes until they are soft.
  • In a large pan, heat the butter and oil. Add the chopped onion and sauté until it turns golden brown.
  • Add ginger paste, garlic paste, and chopped green chilies. Sauté for a minute.
  • Add cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, red chili powder, and salt to taste. Mix well and sauté for a minute.
  • Add the tomato puree and mix well. Cook for 5 minutes.
  • Add the cooked lentils and beans to the pan and mix well.
  • Add cream and mix well. Cook for 10-15 minutes until the curry thickens.
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or naan.
