Ingredients
- 1 cup Granulated Sugar
- 2 cup Water
- 1/2 cup Cornstarch
- 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
- 1 tsp Rosewater
- Powdered Sugar For Dusting
Instructions
- Grease a square baking pan with cooking spray.
- In a saucepan, whisk together the granulated sugar and water.
- Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the sugar dissolves.
- Attach a candy thermometer to the saucepan and heat the mixture to 240°F.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the cornstarch, lemon juice, and rosewater.
- Add the cornstarch mixture to the saucepan, whisking constantly.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer for 20-25 minutes, whisking constantly, until the mixture is thick and glossy.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared baking pan and smooth the surface with a spatula.
- Let the Turkish Delight cool to room temperature, then cover with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
- When ready to serve, cut the Turkish Delight into small squares.
- Dust with powdered sugar and serve.
