Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Cook the egg noodles according to the package directions. Drain and set aside.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the tuna, frozen peas, sliced mushrooms, chopped onions, and minced garlic.
In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and whisk to combine.
Gradually add the milk to the pot, whisking constantly to prevent lumps from forming.
Continue to cook the mixture, stirring constantly, until it thickens.
Add the shredded cheddar cheese to the pot and stir until it melts and the sauce is smooth.
Add the tuna mixture to the pot with the cheese sauce and stir to combine.
Add the cooked egg noodles to the pot and mix until well combined.
Transfer the mixture to a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown on top.
Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.
