Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, truffle oil, salt, and black pepper.
Divide the mixture into four equal portions and form each into a patty.
Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes per side, or until cooked to your desired level of doneness.
Remove the patties from the skillet and place them on a baking sheet.
In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add the sliced mushrooms and garlic and cook until the mushrooms are tender.
Top each patty with a slice of Gruyere cheese and the cooked mushrooms.
Toast the hamburger buns and assemble the burgers.
