Instructions
Trim any excess fat from the pork shoulder.
In a mixing bowl, combine barbecue sauce, chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
Place the pork shoulder into the slow cooker and pour the sauce mixture over the top.
Cover the slow cooker and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the pork is tender and falls apart.
Using tongs, remove the pork from the slow cooker and transfer it to a cutting board.
Using a fork, shred the pork into small pieces.
Place the shredded pork back into the slow cooker and stir to coat it with the sauce.
Cook for an additional 10-15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
Serve hot with your choice of sides.
