Puerto Rican Tembleque Recipe

Instructions
In a saucepan, whisk together the coconut milk, granulated sugar, cornstarch, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, and salt.
Heat the mixture over medium heat, whisking constantly, until it thickens and comes to a boil.
Reduce heat to low and simmer for an additional 2-3 minutes, whisking constantly, until the mixture is thick and smooth.
Remove the saucepan from heat and pour the mixture into a mixing bowl.
Let the Tembleque cool to room temperature, then cover with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until firm.
When ready to serve, spoon the Tembleque into individual serving dishes.
Sprinkle with toasted coconut flakes, if desired.
Serve and enjoy!
