In a medium pot, combine the chicken or pork broth, soy sauce, mirin, sake, and sugar. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 30 minutes, until the flavors have melded together.
In a large pot, bring 8 cups of water to a boil. Add the ramen noodles and cook according to the package instructions. Drain the noodles and set aside.
In a skillet, cook the sliced pork belly over medium-high heat until it is browned and crispy.
To assemble the ramen, divide the noodles between 4 bowls. Add a ladle of broth to each bowl, and then top with slices of pork belly, chopped green onions, corn kernels, and a boiled egg. Add sliced nori sheets on top of the egg, if desired.

Note: Ramen can be customized with a variety of toppings, such as sliced mushrooms, bamboo shoots, and bean sprouts. Feel free to experiment and make the dish your own!
