Instructions
Preheat the oven to 325°F.
In a mixing bowl, whisk the heavy cream, whole milk, and granulated sugar until the mixture is well combined.
In a saucepan, heat the mixture over medium heat until it comes to a simmer.
Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the mixture cool for a few minutes.
In a mixing bowl, whisk the egg yolks and vanilla extract until the mixture is light and fluffy.
Slowly pour the cream mixture into the egg yolk mixture, whisking constantly.
Pour the mixture into a baking dish and place the dish in a larger baking dish.
Pour enough hot water into the larger baking dish to come halfway up the sides of the smaller dish.
Bake the crème brûlée in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes or until set.
Remove the dish from the oven and let the crème brûlée cool to room temperature.
Chill the crème brûlée in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
Sprinkle the top of each serving dish with 1 tsp of granulated sugar.
Caramelize the sugar using a kitchen torch until it is golden brown and caramelized.
Notes
Serve this Crème Brûlée with fresh fruit or whipped cream for an extra special treat. Enjoy!
