Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat.
Add the chopped onion and minced garlic and cook until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
Add the diced tomatoes, basil, and oregano. Stir to combine.
Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low and let simmer for 10 minutes.
Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
In a large bowl, mix together the cooked ziti pasta, tomato sauce, and grated parmesan cheese.
Pour the mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the pasta mixture.
Cover the dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
