  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • Cook the egg noodles according to the package directions. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the tuna, frozen peas, sliced mushrooms, chopped onions, and minced garlic.
  • In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and whisk to combine.
  • Gradually add the milk to the pot, whisking constantly to prevent lumps from forming.
  • Continue to cook the mixture, stirring constantly, until it thickens.
  • Add the shredded cheddar cheese to the pot and stir until it melts and the sauce is smooth.
  • Add the tuna mixture to the pot with the cheese sauce and stir to combine.
  • Add the cooked egg noodles to the pot and mix until well combined.
  • Transfer the mixture to a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown on top.
  • Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.
