Ingredients
- 2 lbs Pork Shoulder
- 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil
- 1/2 cup Chicken Broth
- 1/4 cup Barbecue Sauce
- 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 tbsp Chili Powder
- 1 tbsp Smoked Paprika
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- Salt To Taste
- Pepper To Taste
Instructions
- Turn on the instant pot and select the sauté function. Add the vegetable oil to the pot.
- Season the pork shoulder with salt and pepper and place it in the pot. Sear on all sides until browned.
- In a small bowl, combine the chicken broth, barbecue sauce, brown sugar, chili powder, smoked paprika, and garlic powder.
- Pour the mixture over the pork shoulder in the instant pot.
- Lock the lid in place and set the instant pot to cook on high pressure for 90 minutes.
- Once the timer goes off, allow the pressure to release naturally for 15 minutes, then carefully use the quick-release valve to release any remaining pressure.
- Remove the pork shoulder from the instant pot using tongs and transfer it to a cutting board.
- Use two forks to shred the pork shoulder into bite-sized pieces.
- Serve the pulled pork with your favorite sides like coleslaw, baked beans, or cornbread.
