For Serving:
Instructions
- Rinse the soaked chickpeas and add them to a food processor. Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, chopped parsley, chopped cilantro, cumin, coriander, salt, black pepper, and cayenne pepper. Pulse the mixture until it's well blended and has a coarse texture.
- Transfer the mixture to a mixing bowl and add the all-purpose flour. Mix well until the mixture can be formed into balls without falling apart.
- Using your hands, form the mixture into small balls (about 1.5 inches in diameter).
- In a deep fryer or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F. Carefully add the falafel balls to the hot oil and fry for about 3-4 minutes, until golden brown.
- Once the falafel balls are cooked, transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
- To serve, stuff the falafel balls into a pita bread with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, and tahini sauce.
