Ingredients
- 1 lb Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breast Cut Into Bite-Sized Pieces
- 1/2 cup Plain Greek Yogurt
- 2 tbsp Ghee Or
- Vegetable Oil
- 1 Onion Large, Chopped
- 3 Garlic Cloves Minced
- 1 tbsp Ginger Grated
- 2 tsp Ground Coriander
- 1 tsp Ground Cumin
- 1/2 tsp Ground Turmeric
- 1/4 tsp Cayenne Pepper
- 1/2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp Ground Cardamom
- 1 cup Chicken Broth
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- Salt To Taste
- Pepper To Taste
- Fresh Cilantro Chopped, For Garnish
Instructions
- In a large skillet or Dutch oven, heat the ghee or vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
- Add the chopped onion and sauté for 5 minutes or until the onion is translucent.
- Add the minced garlic and grated ginger to the pot and sauté for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Add the chicken pieces to the pot and stir to combine.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the Greek yogurt, ground coriander, ground cumin, ground turmeric, cayenne pepper, ground cinnamon, and ground cardamom until well combined.
- Pour the yogurt mixture into the pot and stir until the chicken is coated.
- Pour in the chicken broth and bring the mixture to a boil.
- Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
- Stir in the heavy cream and let the mixture simmer for an additional 5 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Garnish with chopped fresh cilantro and serve hot with rice or naan bread.
