Ingredients
- 12 oz Ziti Pasta
- 1 lb Ground Beef
- 1 Onion Chopped
- 2 Garlic Cloves Minced
- 2 cans Diced Tomatoes
- 1 tsp Dried Basil
- 1 tsp Dried Oregano
- 1/4 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese
- 2 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese
- Salt & Pepper To Taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the ziti pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium-high heat.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic and cook until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes.
- Add the diced tomatoes, basil, and oregano. Stir to combine.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low and let simmer for 10 minutes.
- Season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.
- In a large bowl, mix together the cooked ziti pasta, tomato sauce, and grated parmesan cheese.
- Pour the mixture into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese on top of the pasta mixture.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
