Ingredients
- 4 Chicken Breasts Boneless, Skinless
- 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 tbsp Paprika
- 1 tbsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tbsp Onion Powder
- 1 tsp Cayenne Pepper
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
- 2 cups Buttermilk
- 2 Eggs
- 1/4 cup Hot Sauce
- 1/2 cup Butter Melted
- 2 cups Waffle Mix
- 1 1/2 cups Milk
- 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
- Maple Syrup For Serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 200 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, eggs, hot sauce, and melted butter.
- Dip each chicken breast in the flour mixture, then in the buttermilk mixture, and then back into the flour mixture, making sure to coat the chicken thoroughly.
- Heat your deep fryer or a large pot filled with vegetable oil to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Fry the chicken breasts for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Place the cooked chicken on the prepared baking sheet and keep warm in the oven.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the waffle mix, milk, and vegetable oil until smooth.
- Heat your waffle iron and make 4 waffles according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Serve the chicken and waffles hot with maple syrup.
