  • Pour the mixture back into the saucepan and cook over low heat, stirring constantly until it thickens and coats the back of a spoon.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the Nutella, chopped hazelnuts, and a pinch of salt.
  • Pour the mixture into a blender and blend until smooth.
  • Let the mixture cool to room temperature, then transfer it to an ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer's instructions.
  • Transfer the Gelato to a container and freeze for 4-6 hours, or until firm.
