Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cup Whole Milk
- 1 1/2 cup Heavy Cream
- 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
- 4 Egg Yolks
- 1/4 cup Nutella
- 1/4 cup Hazelnuts Chopped
- Pinch Of Salt
Instructions
- In a saucepan, heat the whole milk and heavy cream over medium heat until it starts to simmer.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the sugar and egg yolks until pale and fluffy.
- Slowly pour the hot milk mixture into the egg mixture, whisking continuously to prevent curdling.
- Pour the mixture back into the saucepan and cook over low heat, stirring constantly until it thickens and coats the back of a spoon.
- Remove from heat and stir in the Nutella, chopped hazelnuts, and a pinch of salt.
- Pour the mixture into a blender and blend until smooth.
- Let the mixture cool to room temperature, then transfer it to an ice cream maker and churn according to manufacturer's instructions.
- Transfer the Gelato to a container and freeze for 4-6 hours, or until firm.
