Ingredients
- 1 Large Onion Sliced
- 1 tbsp Olive Oil
- 1 tbsp Balsamic Vinegar
- 1 tbsp Honey
- 1/2 cup Crumbled Goat Cheese
- 1/2 cup Heavy Cream
- 1 Egg
- Salt And Pepper
- 1 Pre-Made Pie Crust
- 1 cup Baby Arugula
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook, stirring occasionally, until caramelized, about 30 minutes.
- Add the balsamic vinegar and honey to the skillet and stir until the onions are coated.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the goat cheese, heavy cream, egg, salt, and pepper.
- Roll out the pre-made pie crust and transfer it to the tart pan. Press it down and trim the edges.
- Spread the caramelized onions over the bottom of the crust and pour the goat cheese mixture over it.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until the filling is set and the crust is golden brown.
- Serve warm with a handful of baby arugula on top or on the side.
