- 3 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 tsp Active Dry Yeast
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Sugar
- 1 cups Warm Water
- 1/4 cup Plain Yogurt
- 2 tbsp Melted Butter
- 2 cloves Minced Garlic (Optional)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, yeast, salt, and sugar. Mix well.
- In a separate bowl, mix the warm water, yogurt, and melted butter.
- Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients, mixing with a wooden spoon until the dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a towel, and let it rest in a warm place for 1 hour.
- Preheat a non-stick pan or griddle over medium-high heat.
- Divide the dough into 8 equal parts and roll them out into oval shapes, about 1/4 inch thick.
- Brush or spray each naan with water, and place it on the pan.
- Cook for 1-2 minutes until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook for an additional minute.
- Brush or spray each naan with melted butter and minced garlic, if desired.
- Serve warm and enjoy!
