Ingredients
For The Crust:
- 1 1/4 cup All-Purpose Flour
- 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter Cold And Cubed
- 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 Egg Yolk
- 1/4 tsp Salt
For The Filling:
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- Assorted Fresh Fruit, Such As
- Strawberries
- Blueberries
- Raspberries
- Peaches etc.
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and salt. Using a pastry cutter or your fingertips, work in the cold, cubed butter until the mixture is crumbly.
- Add the egg yolk and mix until a dough forms. If the dough seems too dry, add cold water, one tablespoon at a time.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface to fit a 9-inch tart pan.
- Transfer the dough to the tart pan, trim the edges, and prick the bottom of the crust with a fork.
- Bake the crust for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool completely.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
- Spread the whipped cream evenly over the cooled tart crust.
- Arrange the fresh fruit on top of the whipped cream in any design you like.
- Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to serve.
