Ingredients
- 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 2 cups Buttermilk
- 1/4 cup Unsalted Butter Melted
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- Butter For Serving
- Syrup For Serving
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another mixing bowl, whisk together the buttermilk, eggs, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Do not overmix, as this will result in tough pancakes.
- Heat a griddle or large non-stick pan over medium heat. Once hot, lightly grease with butter or cooking spray.
- Using a 1/4 cup measuring cup, pour the batter onto the griddle or pan. Cook until bubbles form on the surface of the pancake and the edges begin to look set, about 2-3 minutes.
- Flip the pancake and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes on the other side, until both sides are golden brown.
- Serve with butter and syrup.
