For The Filling:
- 2 tbsp Vegetable Oil
- 1 Onion Small, Finely Chopped
- 2 Garlic Cloves Minced
- 1 Carrot Small, Finely Diced
- 1 Potatoes Medium, Boiled And Mashed
- 1 cup Frozen Peas
- 1 tsp Curry Powder
- 1/2 tsp Ground Cumin
- 1/2 tsp Ground Coriander
- Salt To Taste
- Pepper To Taste
For The Pastry:
- 2 cup All-Purpose Flour
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/4 cup Vegetable Oil
- 1/2 cup Warm Water
Instructions
For the Filling:
- In a skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, and sauté until the onion turns translucent.
- Add the finely diced carrot, mashed potato, and frozen peas to the skillet. Stir well to combine.
- Sprinkle the curry powder, ground cumin, ground coriander, salt, and pepper over the vegetable mixture. Cook for another 3-4 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld. Remove from heat and set aside.
For the Pastry:
- In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Add the vegetable oil and mix until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
- Gradually add warm water to the mixture, kneading until the dough forms a smooth and pliable ball. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 20 minutes.
- Divide the dough into small balls and roll each ball into a thin circle using a rolling pin.
