Ingredients
- 1 lb Fresh Ahi Tuna Cut Into 1/2-Inch Cubes
- 1/4 cup Soy Sauce
- 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
- 1 tbsp Rice Vinegar
- 1 tsp Ginger Fresh, Grated
- 1/4 cup Green Onions Chopped
- 1/4 cup White Onion Chopped
- 1 Avocado Diced
- 1 tsp Black Sesame Seeds
- 4 cups Cooked Rice or Mixed Greens
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, rice vinegar, and grated ginger to make the marinade.
- Add the cubed ahi tuna to the marinade, along with the chopped green onions and white onion. Stir everything together until the tuna is evenly coated with the marinade.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the poke for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours, to allow the flavors to meld together.
- To serve, divide the cooked rice or mixed greens among four bowls. Spoon the poke on top of the rice or greens, and add diced avocado on top. Sprinkle black sesame seeds over the poke.
- Enjoy your delicious and healthy Hawaiian poke!
Notes
Note: Poke is best served fresh, and should not be stored for more than a day. If you have leftovers, you can use them in a poke bowl or wrap, or as a topping for a salad.
