Ingredients
For The Wonton Filling:
- 1/2 lb Ground Pork
- 1/4 cup Shrimp Chopped
- 1 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 1 tbsp Rice Wine OR
- 1 tbsp Sherry
- 1 tsp Sesame Oil
- 1 tsp Ginger Grated
- 1 Garlic Clove Minced
- 1 Green Onion Chopped
For The Soup:
- 4 cups Chicken Broth
- 1 tsp Soy Sauce
- 1 tsp Sesame Oil
- 1/2 tsp Ginger Grated
- 1 Garlic Clove Minced
- 12-16 Wonton Wrappers
- Salt & Pepper To Taste
- Green Onion Chopped For Garnish
Instructions
For the Wontons:
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together ground pork, chopped shrimp, soy sauce, rice wine or sherry, sesame oil, grated ginger, minced garlic, and chopped green onion to make the wonton filling.
- Place a small spoonful of the filling in the center of each wonton wrapper.
- Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water, and fold the wrapper over the filling to form a triangle.
- Pinch the edges to seal.
For the Soup:
- In a large pot, bring chicken broth, soy sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger, and minced garlic to a simmer over medium heat.
- Add the wontons to the pot and cook for 3-5 minutes, or until they float to the surface.
- Season the soup with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onion.
