  • Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the onions and garlic, and cook until softened.
  • Add the ground chicken or lamb, and cook until browned.
  • Add the ginger, cinnamon, black pepper, cloves, and nutmeg to the skillet, and stir to combine.
  • Add the chopped parsley, cilantro, chopped almonds, breadcrumbs, and salt to taste, and mix until well combined.
  • Remove the skillet from the heat and let the mixture cool.
  • Brush a baking dish with melted butter.
  • Lay one sheet of phyllo dough in the bottom of the baking dish and brush it with melted butter. Repeat this step with 4 more sheets of phyllo dough.
  • Pour the meat mixture over the phyllo dough layers in the baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  • Cover the meat mixture with 3 more sheets of phyllo dough, brushing each sheet with melted butter.
  • Fold the edges of the phyllo dough over the top of the pie, and brush with melted butter.
  • Bake in the oven for 30-40 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Sprinkle with powdered sugar and cinnamon.
